When do 2027 tickets go on sale?
Where do I buy the tickets?
Are Malta's public holidays a good guide for picking my dates?
Yes. Malta has fourteen public holidays and the summer ones are useful markers: 1 May, 7 June (Sette Giugno), 29 June (L-Imnarja, St Peter and St Paul), 15 August (Santa Marija), 8 September (Victory Day) and 21 September (Independence Day). Those dates are fixed year to year, so they hold for 2027. Locals go out the night before, villages run feasts, and clubs put their bigger nights around them.
Where should I stay: Paceville, St Julian's or Sliema?
Paceville is the nightlife quarter of St Julian's: a few compact streets holding most of the island's clubs, bars and 4am food, Toy Room and Infinity by Hugo's included, with Portomaso and TwentyTwo next door. You walk between venues, and you hear them until 4am. St Julian's proper is five to fifteen minutes out and quieter. Sliema is calmer, better value, better for daytime, and a short taxi in. Sleep matters more than you think.
What happens during Ferragosto, and is it worth planning around?
Ferragosto is 15 August, an Italian holiday and a Maltese one too, Santa Marija. Italy effectively closes for the week and a large slice of it lands here: flights fill, hotel rates peak, boat parties sell out early and every club runs a special. It is the busiest week of the season and the most expensive. Want it? Book beds and flights months out. Want space? Come the week after.
