What is Café del Mar Malta?
Café del Mar Malta is the Maltese home of the brand born in Ibiza on 20 June 1980, the one that put music to the sunset and gave the world the chill-out compilations. The Malta venue sits at the water's edge in Qawra, St Paul's Bay, as part of the Malta National Aquarium complex, with uninterrupted views of the sea from the seating area and the pool deck.
By day it is a beach club: an infinity pool over the Mediterranean, sunbeds, sofas, and a restaurant with Mediterranean dishes, sushi and sharing plates. At sunset the music takes over, and on the big nights the pool deck becomes one of the island's largest open-air party venues, with the original Thursday Pool Party, CDM Sundays, the White Edition and festival dates.
Through Malta Party Vibes you can book the party nights: in 2026 the venue hosted Claptone, Bob Sinclar, Deborah de Luca, CamelPhat, ARTBAT, Shimza and Isle of MTV specials, and it closes the season with Defected Malta in October. Sunbeds, sofas and restaurant tables are reserved directly with the venue.

Café del Mar Malta is at Triq it-Trunciera, Qawra, St Paul's Bay, on the seafront of the north of the island, next to the Malta National Aquarium and facing St Paul's Islands. It is not in Paceville: plan a taxi or a bus ride from St Julian's or Sliema.
Party nights end around 01:00, so book your return taxi in advance or use Bolt or eCabs; the buses to St Julian's and Sliema run less often late at night.
